Back at it...

     Today, I was convinced to start blogging again. It really didn't take much convincing, though. Well, the only thing new in life right now is music. For some reason, rappers are beginning to entertain even the most cynical ears. Newcomers like J. Cole, overlooked mc's like Big K.R.I.T., and new legends like Kanye West are bringing heat with each new track. You're probably wondering the obvious, What about Drake? Well, what about him? He's nice, but he doesn't make music, he makes songs. Drake has the ability to go toe to toe with anybody in the game, right now, but his music lacks substance. You'll never hear a song from him that makes you want to be a better person. Needless to say, the rappers I named before have all proved they have the ability to entertain, relate and teach. Isn't that how rap started in the first place? Maybe, maybe not, but this is MY blog. "Do you fools listen to music or do you just skim through it"?---Jay Z
